The Observatory against Homophobia has denounced that in the early hours of this Saturday there has been a violent homophobic attack at the end of an LGTBI-themed party in the Girona town of Salt, in which three people have been injured and have required hospital care.
According to the sources, the attack took place at 06:45 in the morning outside the Sala de Fiestas La Mirona in Salt, at the end of a party organized by Espai LGTBI Marc G. Llop in Girona.
Several people linked to the organization of the party were chatting outside the venue when two young men uttered homophobic insults and violently assaulted three of them, who had to be treated at the Santa Caterina de Salt hospital.
The Observatory against Homophobia has reported the attack to the Mossos d'Esquadra, which have activated the hate crime protocol and have opened an investigation to identify the attackers.
