De Blasio said the town is adding overnight changes in three mass vaccination websites: Brooklyn Army Terminal, Bathgate from the Bronx and Citi Field at Queens.

"We are going to blitz this week. This will be an extremely intense weekend," de Blasio said in a news conference Thursday.

De Blasio said the town can also be"doubling the amount of appointments at a few of the crucial websites in communities where we are focusing on battling disparity, at Teachers Prep and in Martin Van Buren high schools. We are launching new pop-up websites in communities which require more outreach."

"We receive the source we are in need of, we could eliminate," he explained.

New York City had administered over 1.6 million vaccine doses -- which equals greater than the whole population of Philadelphia, '' the mayor said.
