It's barely two minutes and twenty seconds, but the video recorded from inside the massive brawl in the Madrid Metro reflects the fear and tension experienced by those present.
It was on Sunday, after 6:45 a.m., when two gangs of young people got into a massive fight that began inside a carriage on line 10 of the Madrid Metro and ended on the platform of the Batán station, next to the Casa de Campo, west of the capital.
Several dozen young people faced each other in a battle for which they used everything they had at hand, mainly belts as well as a knife that was seized by the Security Forces.
The fight resulted in 16 detainees, several of them minors, and two minor injuries. One of them hospitalized with stab wounds. Although another handful of travelers oblivious to the facts had the scare of their lives when they found themselves caught in the middle of the fight in which multiple punches and kicks flew. v
The Latina Police Station is in charge of the investigation of the fight but, for the moment, they have found no indications that they are Latino gangs.
