Almost two months after the 2021 Income Campaign began, this Thursday is the deadline for filing the Personal Income Tax (IRPF) and Wealth Tax returns. Regarding the declarations with a result to enter, the deadline to make the direct debits ended last Monday, June 27.
In this campaign, the Tax Agency plans to return 11,122 million euros, which is 5.8% more than in the previous campaign. Likewise, it estimates that it will receive 21,921,000 declarations, 0.9% more than last year.
Of the total returns, it is expected that 14,350,000 give the right to a refund, which represents an increase of 1.1% compared to the previous campaign, while the number of taxpayers with returns to enter will be 5,971,000, 1 .5% less, amounting to 13,400 million euros. A figure 10.8% higher than that of the 2020 income.
Of the total declarations that will have been made, 18,558,000 are individual (1.5%) and 3,363,000 joint (-2.3%). As for the forecasts relating to Wealth Tax, the Tax Agency expects 224,438 returns to be filed, 2.9% more, and to collect 1,242 million euros, 3.9% more.
After starting on April 6, on May 3 the period to request an appointment for the telephone attention service was opened, while on May 5 the period to present the declaration through this channel began. While on May 26, the deadline to request an appointment to receive face-to-face care was open, which began to take place from June 1.
