Crown of fog on the way to Rocaprevera

A beautiful crown of low clouds on the horizon of the mountains has presided over the path that leads to the Rocaprevera de Torelló sanctuary, in the Osona region, as can be seen in this report in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.

Precisely, the Aplec de Rocaprevera is celebrated on the third Sunday of September and is considered a second major fiesta of the town.

The sanctuary is located in the Puig de las Tres Creus. It was originally an oratory, from the 13th century, which had to be rebuilt three times.

In the 18th century it was in a ruinous state and the chapel was demolished and built again by popular initiative. The works lasted between 1780 and 1805.

The current complex, made up of the church and the hermit's house, is a nineteenth-century work by the architect Josep Maria Pericas i Morros.
