Conference of francophone mountain regions

The conference, held in Aix-les-Bains, France, is an event organized by the Forum Francophone des Affaires that aims to bring together those responsible for economic decisions in these areas and representatives of States and governments around common issues in mountain regions.

During his speech before the Conference, the Minister of Tourism and Telecommunications of Andorra, Jordi Torres, outlined what he considers to be the main challenges when it comes to increasing resilience to the negative effects of climate change: reinforcing strategies and management plans of the natural environment to reduce the vulnerability of ecosystems and biodiversity; rethink tourism infrastructures taking into account sustainability and readapt tourism development models taking into account climate change.

Minister Torres was accompanied during the trip by the ambassador of Andorra in France and Monaco, Eva Descarrega, the representative of Andorra in the Forum Francophone des Affaires, Josep Peralba, and the technical director of Grandvalira Ensisa, Enric Barbier.
