Collboni presents the King with the Mortadelo y Filemón de Barcelona'92 comic

This morning, King Felipe VI received the mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, at the official residence of the Spanish monarchs, the Albéniz de Montjuïc palace, property of the City Council of the Catalan capital. The meeting, which lasted 75 minutes, took place, as explained by municipal sources, in a "cordial tone" and marks the recovery of "institutional normality" between the Spanish Crown and the mayor of Barcelona, since it had been 17 years since a meeting of this level did not take place.

The mayor presented the King with a copy of the special edition of the Mortadelo and Filemón comic that was published to celebrate the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. The work has been donated for the occasion by Francisco Ibáñez's widow, Remedios Solera.

Collboni has also presented Felipe VI with a copy of the Barcelona photography book, co-published by Barcelona City Council and La Fàbrica. The book takes a tour of the history of the city since the 19th century through images captured by prestigious photographers and anonymous Barcelonans.
