Chaos with the collection of suitcases from Vueling flights in El Prat

Up to three and a half hours to collect the suitcase on the Vueling flight that arrived from Athens to Barcelona this Monday afternoon. This is what passengers from the company have had to wait for at El Prat airport, according to people affected by La Vanguardia.

The problems of saturation in Spanish airports do not reach those that are being experienced in countries such as Germany, France, Amsterdam or the United Kingdom, but they are not exempt from incidents. This afternoon there have been moments of tension in the baggage claim of the IAG company. "Our flight arrived from Athens to Barcelona around 5:00 p.m. and we recovered the suitcase at 8:30 p.m.," says a passenger.

It has not been the only flight affected. Travelers from Brussels, Milan, Mahón or Bilbao have also suffered delays in baggage collection.

Passengers report that there have been situations of anger and nerves, when several affected have complained in the claims area because they missed connecting flights. "Some Civil Guard agents have come because the atmosphere was heating up," they comment.

The tapes have remained inactive for part of the afternoon and from 8:30 p.m. suitcases from different flights have begun to leave.

Vueling sources explain that this Monday afternoon there have been situations with operations that have caused delays in baggage claim "on a couple of flights." From the company they circumscribe the situation experienced this afternoon to specific incidents.

It is not the first time that there have been problems with luggage collection at Spanish airports. At the beginning of July, both in El Prat and in Barajas, suitcases accumulated on some days of the flights that came from foreign airports with delays and without their owners.
