Celta tied in extra time with an own goal from Le Normand

Celta, thanks to an own goal by French defender Robin Le Normand, drew a draw of great psychological value in their fight to avoid the discount against a Real Sociedad that did not know how to close the game even in numerical superiority when the Galician team lost by expulsion to the Peruvian Renato Tapia.

The txuri urdin fans took their seats when their team had given the first signs of danger in the starts of an always incisive Take Kubo and before minute five they had already taken the lead.

A drive by Kubo in which he connected with Mikel Oyarzabal would be the genesis of the first goal. The royalist international entered the Celta area and, when the defense was waiting for a pass to the Norwegian Alexander Sörloth on the other side, he surprised with a left-footed shot to the near post of Iván Villar's goal to score a flag goal.

The people from San Sebastián, with the wind in their favour, promised them very happy to return to the path of victory at home after the setback of their last local appearance against Valladolid, with which they took another step to establish themselves even more in the area. Champions and even get closer to Real Madrid.

Imanol Alguacil's team had a very serious first half. He minimized the danger of a Celta that stretched out looking for Iago Aspas, although without finding the wonderful Moaña striker, so Álex Remiro would live in peace.

This calm, however, would be altered after half an hour in the best Galician goal opportunity, started with a cross from Javi Galán and the continuity of the splendid header from the Norwegian Strand Larsen, which forced a good stretch on the line goal from the Navarrese goalkeeper to avoid the tie.

The Swiss Haris Seferovic came on after the break, who did not succeed in his brief spell at Real but who is used to bringing joy to his teams when he is on the pitch, and Zubeldia and Le Normand became his shadow because the Locals trusted their ex-partner between little and nothing.

Celta gave a pass forward in the second half, while Real continued to feel bad about the goal they had ahead of because it conditioned their usual game of control and attack, they were not comfortable and Aspas almost took advantage of it with a shot to the post after a lack of understanding between the blue and white defense and Remiro.

Imanol Alguacil was concerned with Celta's superiority and reinforced his midfield with the entry of Mikel Merino, which led to an immediate realistic improvement with a near goal from a Zubimendi shot from outside the area and a one-on-one from Oyarzabal against Villar that the Celta goalkeeper took on this occasion.

The expulsion fifteen minutes from the end of Renato Tapia seemed to put an end to any plan to tie the match for the block from Vigo. Real Sociedad did not take advantage of it and in the final stretch they lived on the wire so much that after a shot from almost the center of the field by Iago Aspas that narrowly went wide, they ended up finding the prize for their faith in the extension with a cross from the captain from Celta who ended up putting Le Normand into his goal when nothing was missing for the end of the game.
