The two Catalan teams of the Santander League were paired in the first round of the Copa del Rey with rivals that will require a significant displacement. Espanyol will play in the field of CD Rincón, from the province of Malaga. For its part, Girona will travel to Cuenca to face CD Quintanar del Rey.
