Carvajal, the only novelty in the eleven of Spain against Germany

Given the great choral performance of Spain in the historic win against Costa Rica, the Spanish coach, Luis Enrique Martínez, has only touched the starting eleven against Germany, on the second day of the World Cup in Qatar, with the inclusion of Dani Carvajal in the right back to the detriment of César Azpilicueta.

The Real Madrid player is the only novelty for the Spanish team to face the Germans, who need a win to avoid seeing themselves with a foot and a half out of the World Cup. Carvajal will be accompanied in defense by Jordi Alba, Laporte and a surprising Rodri, a regular defensive pivot who already acted as a central defender in the well-rounded World Cup debut against the Costa Ricans.

The midfield of 'la roja' once again has the seal of Barça, as against Costa Rica. The captain Sergio Busquets will act as a pivot, while Pedri and Gavi will occupy the interiors. Up front they will play again Marco Asensio, Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres, all of them scorers in the match against the Tico team.

In this way, Spain will try to beat the four-time world champion and virtually seal the pass to the round of 16 with the following starting eleven: Unai Simón; Carvajal, Rodri, Laporte, Jordi Alba; Busquets, Gavi and Pedri; Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo and Marco Asensio.

For his part, the Teutonic coach, Hansi Flick, has chosen the following eleven players to achieve the three points: Manuel Neuer; Kehrer, Süle, Antonio Rüdiger, Raum; Leon Goreztka, Kimmich; Gundogan, Musiala, Gnabry, and Thomas Muller. The 2014 champion lost in her debut in Qatar against the Japanese team (1-2), who lost this Sunday against Costa Rica (1-0).

Germany, which already fell against the forecast in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, will depend on third teams on the last day to get into the round of 16 if they draw or lose against the Spanish.
