Carlos Santana faints in full concert in Michigan and has to be removed on a stretcher

The Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana has fainted this Tuesday in full concert in an outdoor auditorium in Michigan (USA), according to the testimony of several of the attendees on social networks and the local press.

Santana had been in concert for about 40 minutes at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan, northwest of Detroit, when he fainted and had to receive medical attention on the spot.

Approximately twenty minutes later, the artist has been removed from the stage on a stretcher, a moment that has been captured by the phones of the attendees, who have shared it on the networks. In them, however, Santana can be seen waving.

Those responsible for the concert then reported that the rest of the show was canceled and they asked to pray for Santana because of "a serious medical matter."

Hours later, Santana himself has been in charge of reassuring his followers in a message on Facebook in which he explains that his fainting is due to "dehydration" after getting confused and "forgetting to eat and drink water" before and during the show .

Santana, 74, was a pioneer in fusing Latin rhythms with the rock genre in the band of the same name that he founded in 1966 and, since then, his figure and his music have obtained all possible recognition.

Among others, they appear in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in the list of the 100 best guitarists in history, prepared by the Rolling Stones magazine.
