Carlos Mazón designs a Valencian government in the shadow

The president of the PPCV, Carlos Mazón, yesterday took advantage of the preparation of his electoral campaign committee to show an outline of what could be a possible Executive of the popular Valencians. The PP president announced the names of the people who will accompany him in his challenge to change the electoral cycle and reach the Palau de la Generalitat.

Leaders of his strictest trust - with some new faces and also with old acquaintances - who, as explained by the PP, are a preview of what Mazón intends to do if he comes to power.

The names of the general secretary of the PPCV, María José Català, and the deputy secretary of Organization, Juan Francisco Pérez Llorca, are joined as director of the Campaign Committee by the deputy from Castellón, Miguel Barrachina, and, as coordinator, the national deputy for Alicante Macarena Montesinos. The historic leader is the key person in the political life of Carlos Mazón and in the past she was one of the deputies most faithful to Eduardo Zaplana when the crisis broke out in the Valencian PP.

The committee will also have three provincial officials: Senator Salomé Pradas in Castellón; the councilor of Camporrobles Ernesto Fernández in the province of Valencia and José Ramón González de Zárate - mayor of Benidorm - in the province of Alicante.

Pradas was one of the favorites to lead the regional list for Castellón, but finally the party seems to be opting for the figure of the former president of the Generalitat Alberto Fabra, who will return to regional politics. Although during his intervention before the Regional Executive Committee, Mazón said that the heads of the list were not yet clear (which generated some laughter among those present), it seems that the unknowns are clearing up. Fabra will go to Castellón and, after Mazón himself decided to represent his native province (Alicante), everything seems to indicate that the party's number two and PP candidate for Mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá, will lead the candidacy for this Province.

Before the media and after announcing the names of the people who will accompany him in the electoral adventure, Mazón stated: “We are ready. The time has come to transfer our project to the entire Valencian Community. Our electoral program Valencians en peu alcem-se is what it is time to launch in this land, and it is already prepared to start a new stage. We are going to send our project for change to the citizens, which is ambitious, results-oriented, claims what is ours, a serious project and management to reach all municipalities and people”.
