Forward Bojan Krkic will announce his retirement from professional football at the age of 32 this Thursday in an act that will take place at the Camp Nou, specifically at the Auditori 1899. The forward, trained in the lower categories of FC Barcelona, broke various records for precociousness scoring more than 800 goals at La Masia and always in categories higher than those that corresponded to him by age. Led by Frank Rijkaard, he made it to the first team in 2007 and, until 2011, he won 10 titles with the Barcelona jersey, the club of his life.
On October 21, 2007, at the age of 17, Bojan became the youngest player in the history of Barcelona (17 years and 51 days) to score with the first team in the League, against Villarreal, beating Leo Messi early. A month later, on November 24, 2007, he scored his first goal at the Camp Nou against Recreativo de Huelva and in March 2011, at the age of 20 years and 202 days, he played the 100th game with the cule shirt, being the most young to reach that figure.
However, due to the pressure he was subjected to, in 2007 he began to suffer from anxiety attacks, as the footballer himself published in his autobiography. These problems even led him to give up going with Luis Aragonés' Spanish team in 2008. "At the age of 17 my life changed completely, my body told me to stop," he said a few years later.
On August 14 of that same year, the new coach Vicente Del Bosque called him up again for a friendly against Denmark, but this time he stayed on the bench and did not make his debut either.
The tough competition that was in the offensive line of the Camp Nou led him to want a change of scenery. And in the summer of 2011, Luis Enrique took him to AS Roma for 12 million euros.He has also worn the shirts of Milan, Ajax Amsterdam, Stoke City, Mainz, Stoke City, Alavés and Montreal.
