Betis and Sevilla share the points in a very intense derby with three expulsions

The Seville derby is passion, intensity, tension and also excessive harshness. Betis and Sevilla drew (1-1) at the Benito Villamarín in a game marked by three expulsions, Montiel for the visitors and Fekir and Borja Iglesias for the locals. The Verdiblancos advanced with an own goal from Navas and the Sevilla players put the definitive draw in the 81st minute with a great goal from Gudelj.

Those from Nervión arrived touched, due to the losses and the position in the classification, but as usually happens in the derby everything is even. Pellegrini's men enjoyed the first two occasions, in a free kick that ended in the post and in an internship by Ruibal, but then came Sevilla's reply. Gudelj was unable to shoot in the area and Mir did not take advantage of a gift from Sabaly.

Football gave way to controversies, all with VAR through. The referee, Sánchez Martínez, used technology to show Montiel a red card for a hard foul on Álex Moreno. A critical situation for Sevilla in the 38th minute that worsened with Betis' goal in a clearance by Gudelj that bounced off Navas before going into the net.

Everything seemed lost for Sampaoli's men until Fekir was expelled for elbowing Papu Gómez. Borja Iglesias, still in the first half, and Álex Moreno, in the first action of the second, were able to score the second for Betis, but there was still another twist in the script with Panda being red in the 49th minute due to a stomp on Jordán.

Betis resisted the siege of Sevilla with nine until Gudelj took a powerful shot from outside the area that slipped through the top corner. The Serbian still had the victory in another shot to the crossbar and in a shot that Bravo cleared in 95
