Bayern makes the signing of Mané official

The Senegalese Sadio Mané is already a Bayern Munich player, as announced by the German club this afternoon. The winger, whose contract ended next year, has been one of the spearheads at Jurguen Klopp's Liverpool, with whom he has won a Premier League and a Champions League since 2016. Now he is embarking on a new adventure in Germany, a league that you already know having previously played for Salzburg.

Mané signs for 32 million euros plus some eight in variables, according to various sources. And he does it for the next three seasons. Yesterday he landed in Munich and passed the medical examination before signing his contract. According to German and British media, Mané's salary at the Munich club will rise to 292,000 euros a week.

Bayern acquire the services of a world-class player for a fairly modest amount. The Senegalese has scored 120 goals for Liverpool (90 of them in the Premier) since he arrived in 2016 from Southampton.

"I am very happy to finally be with FC Bayern Munich. We had many conversations and I felt the great interest of this great club from the beginning. So there was no doubt in my mind from the beginning: this is the right time for this challenge. I want to achieve a lot with this club, also on an international level. During my time in Salzburg, I followed a lot of FC Bayern matches, I really like this club!" Mané said in his first statements as a Munich player.

The winger made the leap to European football in 2011 from his country's Génération Foot to join Metz. Later he went to Salzburg for two seasons and played another two at Southampton. In 2016 he landed at Liverpool.

With Jürgen Klopp as coach, Sadio Mané won a Champions League, a Premier, a European Super Cup, a Club World Cup, an FA Cup and a Carabao Cup. He was also proclaimed champion of Africa last February with the Senegal team after defeating in penalties to Egypt.
