Barnasants hosts the most Cuban Ruper Ordorika

The Barnasants festival continues its Amazonian journey through music and lyrics from half the world with more than a hundred concerts in Catalan-speaking territories.

A dense programming, stylistically varied and also transgenerational, which after many years has its artists inseparable from the cycle. One of them is undoubtedly the Basque musician and singer Ruper Ordorika, who will meet his stalwarts again today at the Barradas Auditorium in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (8 pm).

The unmistakable musician -in style, sound, voice and lyrics- comes to his appointment with the festival with his latest album under his arm, a rather unusual Amour eta toujours (edited by Elkar) released in 2021.

A work that after the last pandemic blows is now presenting and that keeps within it highly recommended raw sound material in a Cuban key.

This commitment to his sound vocabulary is quite unusual in his list of works carried out up to now, but on the other hand, it is very connected to his creative and sound essence.

To offer it, Ordorika will be accompanied by posh accomplices such as Arkaitz Miner (guitar, violin, mandolin), Lutxo Neira (double bass), Hasier Oleaga (drums), Eduardo Lazaga (percussion) and Nando de la Casa (keyboards).
