Barcelona - Viktoria Plzen: schedule and where to watch the Champions League match on TV

After several years plagued by tough defeats and low expectations, Barça opens this Wednesday, September 7 in the Champions League with renewed enthusiasm thanks to the signings made this summer. The Barça team will play the first match of Group C against Viktoria Plzen at the Camp Nou.

The meeting between the Catalan team and the Czech will start at 9:00 p.m. and will be seen by Movistar Liga de Campeones, in addition to being able to follow the minute by minute through the La Vanguardia website.

Barcelona: Ter roasting; Kounde, Araujo, Eric, Balde; Gavi o De Jong, Busquets, Pedri; Raphinha, Lewandowski and Dembele or Ferran

Viktoria Plzen: Stanek; Holik, Hejda, Pernica, Havel; Kalvach, Cermak, Mosquera, Sykora (Bucha), Vikanova; y Chory (Bassey)

A priori, the duel against the team from the city of Pilsen is the most affordable for Xavi Hernández's pupils, who cannot fail if they do not want to trail the rest of the days in a particularly complicated group where tall rivals are also framed like Inter Milan and especially Bayern Munich.

The Blaugrana team has left very good feelings at the start of the season. Barça started the Santander League with doubts, with a disappointing draw at home against Rayo Vallecano (0-0), but then took off with resounding victories against Valladolid (4-0), Real Sociedad (1-4) and Sevilla (0-3), these last two at home.

Despite the good results, Barça is not among the group of favorites to win the long-awaited Champions League on June 10 in Istanbul. "Of course I dream of winning the Champions League. I am a winner. If I didn't dream of winning the Champions League I would stay at home and enjoy my family," said an optimistic Xavi, who wants to break the odds.

After the game against the Czechs, the Catalans will face the two toughest games in their group, both away from home. They will first travel to the Allianz Arena to face the fearsome Bayern, an ogre for the Catalans in recent years, and then they will travel to Milan to face Inter.

For its part, Viktoria Plzen appears at the Camp Nou as the clear 'Cinderella' of the group. However, the team coached by Michal Bilek will arrive more grounded in the duel than the Catalans, since they have played six games in their League. In the domestic competition they occupy second place tied on points with the leader, Slavia Prague, although the capital's have played one more game.
