Barcelona ultras attack Osasuna supporters and leave three injured

A few hours before Barcelona moved to El Sadar to face Osasuna in the last game before the World Cup break in Qatar, a group of Barcelona ultras staged violent incidents in which several were injured.

The events occurred at five in the afternoon when a group of hooded men entered a bar located on Calle San Juan Bosco, where the Indar gorri usually meet, the group of ultras from Osasuna that is located in the lower tier of the South stands of El Sadar.

When the hooded men arrived at the venue with bats and knives, the Osasuna fans had not yet arrived. There were only waiters and two customers playing cards according to sources from the Municipal Police. After the altercations, three people were injured and had to be transferred to the University Hospital of Navarra. At the moment, there are no arrests.

Club Atlético Osasuna, shortly after, published a statement in which it condemns "the violent incidents carried out by ultras of the Barcelona Football Club this afternoon in Pamplona", expressing its solidarity with those affected and making itself available to the people attacked. .

The Pamplona club ratified its total opposition to any sign of violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport and expresses its wish that tonight's match takes place with absolute normality.

Initially, agents of the Municipal Police and ambulances went to the place, and later members of the National Police. The establishment ended up with serious damage after what happened.

FC Barcelona also lamented and condemned the acts of vandalism. President Joan Laporta has been in contact with the president of Club Atlético Osasuna, Luis Sabalza, to share the Navarrese team's rejection of what happened.

In a statement, FC Barcelona pointed out that it "flatly rejects any act of violence inside and outside football stadiums and reaffirms its commitment to the fight against any form of violence associated with the world of sport." He also indicated that "it is once again made available to the security forces and bodies, and to all the agents involved, to put an end to those groups that practice it systematically."
