The ERC councilor at the Barcelona City Council Marina Gassol has died at the age of 51, the municipal group reported this Saturday in a statement.
Gassol was also the president of ERC of the Barcelona district of Ciutat Vella and the president of ERC of Barcelona Vella, and since the party they have highlighted their involvement in the Gothic quarter and in the city of Barcelona.
The municipal group has remembered her as a "tireless fighter" and has conveyed its condolences to family, friends and colleagues, for whom they have asked for the utmost respect.
