Barça lowers the prices of the passes for Montjuïc by 50%

Barça rectifies the prices of the subscriptions for its temporary transfer to Montjuïc. Given the criticism generated among its social mass for the proposal presented by the club on May 2, the board of directors announced the new price policy on Thursday. The reduction compared to the first proposal is 50% in all areas of the field. If it is compared with the current prices of the Camp Nou, the drop is approximately 25% on average. In other words, they have gone from 25% more expensive prices to 25% cheaper with respect to this campaign.

“We were aware and we are aware that charging the club's financial problems to the members was unpopular but it was necessary. But we set out to work to try to change it, especially at the initiative of President Joan Laporta", stated the institutional vice president, Elena Fort, who added: "Now the commercial area has the challenge of finding this income by another means". The idea of Barcelona continues to be to lose 55 million in income with the temporary transfer to Montjuïc. “We have been sensitive with partners. It is a measure that the partner deserves”, affirmed the vice president.

The subscriber registration process for the next season was already underway but will now start from scratch. “The form will go out on May 30-31, with priority for season ticket holders who have attended 85% of the matches this season plus those who had already notified that they wanted to come to Montjuïc. If the maximum 27,385 subscribers that we can have is not reached, the matter would be opened to the members who are on the waiting list, and if not to the rest of the members”, said Fort.

In the famous feasibility plan that Barça presented to the League are the income from Montjuïc with the first prices. "We will have to compensate them with other types of income," the directive repeated.

Fort made two appeals for this weekend. First, that the member go to the Johan Cruyff on Saturday to cheer on Barça Atlètic in their attempt to play in the promotion playoff. And second, that they go en masse to say goodbye to the Camp Nou on Sunday against Mallorca. "It will be a great party. There will be pre-match activities, half-time activities and activities for 30 or 45 minutes after the game. That the partner does not leave before his time”
