Badalona will invest 1.5 million in reforming the Guàrdia Urbana police station

The City Council of Badalona (Barcelonès Nord) will allocate 1.5 million euros for the comprehensive remodeling of the Police Station of the Urban Guard of Badalona and its central offices, located in the Turó d'en Caritg, in the neighborhood of Sistrells. This investment aims to remodel and modernize the facilities, which date from the 80s and are totally obsolete.

During this month of September, the budget will be approved, which will allow the procedures to carry out the works to begin. The mayor of Badalona, Xavier Garcia Albiol, has advanced that the approval of this investment will be taken to the Plenary of the City Council during this same month of September so that the remodeling begins in the coming months.

The mayor has remarked that: "this municipal government will put an end to 20 years of deterioration of the facilities to the point of being unworthy for the work of the agents and for the attention to the citizenry". "Together with the call for 43 new agents of the Urban Police, this is another of the measures that we are implementing to improve security in the city, since it is one of our top priorities," concludes the mayor.
