Badalona will hire 86 unemployed people with difficulties entering the labor market

Badalona City Council, through the Municipal Employment Promotion Service (IMPO), will hire 86 unemployed people over 12 months to improve their employability by acquiring professional, technical and personal skills and competencies.

Badalona will hire 86 unemployed people with difficulties entering the labor market

Badalona City Council, through the Municipal Employment Promotion Service (IMPO), will hire 86 unemployed people over 12 months to improve their employability by acquiring professional, technical and personal skills and competencies. Through the "Work and Training" program of the Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC), the objective is to promote the hiring of people in a situation of unemployment with special vulnerability and difficulties in accessing the labor market.

The program consists of five lines of action according to the profile of unemployed people. Among other works that will be carried out, they will allow the City Council to increase the number of civic agents on the streets by 16 people, as well as 36 trade officers from different fields such as gardening, painting, construction or plumbing... who will improve the streets and facilities municipal.

The people hired will carry out their work between the month of November 2023 and the month of October 2024 and throughout the process they will receive the necessary support and advice.

The second deputy mayor and councilor of the Area of ​​Economic Promotion and City, Work, Culture, Citizenship and Government of the Badalona City Council, Cristina Agüera, assures that: “The municipal Government has the firm commitment to helping residents to enter or rejoin the labor market and that is why the employment programs that we will launch in the coming months will help many of them do so, also contributing to improving our city.”

IMPO staff will contact, between September 25 and 27, those people who meet the administrative requirements and the job profile, according to the data provided by the municipality's labor offices.
