Badalona calls for 46 new positions for the Urban Guard

Badalona opens the call for the selection process for the incorporation of 46 new Urban Police officers, 18 of these places are reserved for women. The submission period will end on October 11.

At the end of this month of September, the Badalona Urban Police will increase its staff with the incorporation of 23 new agents once they have completed their training at the school of the Public Security Institute of Catalonia.

Regarding the improvement of facilities and material means, the Badalona City Council has allocated 1.5 million euros for the comprehensive remodeling of the Badalona Urban Police Station and its central offices, located in Turó d'en Caritg. . With this investment, these facilities, which were built during the 1980s and are completely obsolete, will be modernized.

The mayor of Badalona, Xavier García Albiol, has stated that: “one of the priorities of this Government is to put an end to the lack of human and material resources of the Urban Guard and the most evident proof is that in these first three months we will fulfill the half of our objective in terms of incorporating troops into the local police force.” The mayor added that "before the end of the current mandate we will have incorporated 100 new members of the Urban Guard."
