Ayuso must extend the budgets after the rejection of Vox

The Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso will be forced to extend the current Budgets -the only ones approved in four years of the presidency of the Community of Madrid are those of 2022-, after this Monday the Assembly Table, where the PP has absolute majority, call off the budget plenary sessions on December 21 and 22. The Table analyzed the unfavorable opinion of the accounts after the vote against Vox in commission, together with the rest of the left.

Vox thus stood in the 'no' to the budgets of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, which until the end of November were not in danger because there was an agreement between the PP and the party of Rocío Monasterio. But the relationship between the partners has become tense in recent weeks after Vox's amendments were not accepted due to submitting them after the deadline.

“In the Community of Madrid, the separation of powers is respected and therefore what the Board of the Assembly says. –said Enrique López, Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Interior of the Community of Madrid–. The Government will always respect what the legislative power decides, which has full autonomy and full independence”.

The controversy over support for the budgets originated on December 2, the deadline to present partial amendments to the budgets, when Vox registered its proposals six minutes late.

The far-right formation appealed to a "computer failure" that prevented the entry of the amendments, which was denied by a report prepared by the Directorate of Information Technology, Technology and Transparency of the Madrid Assembly.

The group led by Rocío Monasterio has strained the relationship with the PP "until the last minutes", in his own words, since last December 1 when they presented 25 main initiatives to grant their favorable vote, among them, the repeal of the Law Autonomous trans.

The PP, under the leadership of the Minister of Finance, Javier Fernández-Lasquetty, in the negotiations, rejected these requests, which was described by Monasterio as "humiliating" for Vox voters.

Another "humiliation" for the Vox group was that the Assembly Table, where the PP has an absolute majority, refused to incorporate the amendments after the deadline and led to the announcement of its 'no' to the regional accounts; an order issued from the party's national leadership.
