The B2 development in the neighborhood of Can Ribes de Gavà, a building promoted by the Metropolitan Area of ​​Barcelona (AMB) through the Metropolitan Institute for Land Promotion and Asset Management (IMPSOL), has received the AVS 2023 las Buenas Award Practices of Public Housing and Land Managers.

The Spanish Association of Public Housing and Land Managers (AVS) and the jury have valued the integration of the building with the environment, a large green space that promotes biological and recreational continuity, as well as the energy saving measures, the adequacy of the design to the environment, innovation, construction systems that favor passive climate control, the use of recyclable materials and the performance-cost ratio of the action.

The building has been built around a large permeable interior green space that promotes biological and playful continuity between the Sierra de les Ferreres and the Baix Llobregat Agrarian Park and preserves the natural and landscape heritage. Access to the houses is from this naturalized space, landscaped with native species and with low water demand.

The development consists of 136 homes, 64 with three bedrooms, 64 with two bedrooms and 8 with one. Of the total number of apartments, there are 63 for rent and another 73 for sale, as well as an 840 m² commercial premises and a basement with 136 parking spaces.

The environmental strategies implemented have made it possible to obtain an energy rating of A in emissions. The promotion stands out for the reduction of the energy demand of homes, the use of high energy efficiency installations for underfloor heating and hot water production and the collection of rainwater for irrigation or use of its own thermal inertia. of the building.

The homes are designed to adapt both to the traditional family model and to new forms of coexistence, with a flexible and versatile distribution of spaces since the dimensions are similar to each other and can be used as a living room, kitchen or bedroom.

They have been designed taking into account the gender perspective and breaking spatial hierarchies so that the design allows domestic activities to be carried out in quality spaces and for two people to do them at the same time.

Each room is surrounded by transition spaces to the outside and all are spacious and of high quality. The kitchen is a central and open space that allows to carry out domestic activities and can be used by several people at the same time.

In the 2019-2023 period, IMPSOL promotes the construction of 1,801 homes, of which 560 are for sale and 1,241 for rent.
