Asensio, Mariano and Odriozola, without starting offers

With just a few hours to go until the end of the summer market, Real Madrid is still unable to complete the exit operation because it has not been able to find a destination for Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz and Álvaro Odriozola. None of the three has so far brought a convincing offer to be able to leave the club. Although Madrid does not rule out that someone will present it in the next few hours, Madrid sources point out that pessimism is spreading at the Bernabeu in this regard.

The most disturbing situation in Valdebebas is that of Marco Asensio, 26 years old and who has one year left on his contract. The Balearic wants to continue but he asked for a renewal that Madrid has not wanted to give him. In the club there is a division of opinions with the player. Ancelotti wants him in the squad, but within Madrid there are those who think that Asensio is already amortized, he is too irregular a footballer and it would be better to sell him now for a reasonable price than to let him go for free next summer.

Asensio recently changed his representative. Now it is carried by the well-known Jorge Mendes. Madrid saw in that change that the player was already looking for an imminent exit. All summer has been full of rumors about possible offers that the Portuguese agent was going to bring but the truth is that they have not gone beyond speculation.

Madrid, in any case, does not rule out that at the last moment Mendes presents himself with a downward offer from the Premier for the Balearic Islands. Ancelotti is already fed up with this situation and for the moment he has hardly had Asensio (a few minutes against Celta has been everything), and he has done nothing more than insist on Asensio to define himself.

In the case of Mariano Diaz, who has just turned 29, the situation is nothing more than a déjà vu of recent summers. The Catalan has spent three years hardly counting for anything in the line-ups but has accommodated himself to his situation as eternal substitute for Benzema. This summer it could be better because Luka Jovic has left, but Ancelotti has already said that Benzema's first replacement will be Eden Hazard as a false nine.

Thus, Mariano drops on social networks that he would not mind a change of scenery in search of minutes. However, he demands that they pay him the four million that Madrid pays him and the possible interested parties do not come to that, among whom Espanyol has been. The last attempt has been from Sevilla. In Madrid they are resigned to having him another year for Valdebebas. An idea that has been valued is to give him the letter of freedom and let him go now. Everything indicates that given the lack of nines in the template, this option will not be considered. Perhaps the last word is not said because the market abounds in surprises and unexpected turns in the last hours.

The most atypical case has been that of Odriozola, 26, already on loan last season to Fiorentina and before that to Bayern. The San Sebastian winger was about to be sold this summer to Nottingham Forest, a historic European champion recently promoted to the Premier, but the operation went awry at the last moment.

In Madrid Odriozola has no place because he is covered by Carvajal, Lucas Vázquez and even Rüdiger has played a few minutes on the side. However, the rest of the clubs that have been interested in him have not been able to finalize their offers, the days have passed and the player is still under Ancelotti's orders. With the Basque, anything can happen because of the three he is the most inclined to leave. At this time his future is still unknown.
