Ciudadanos has opened the door to change its structure within the framework of the refoundation initiated after its poor electoral results and is going to propose a bicephaly so that the party is divided into two directions, in the style of the PNV: one organic and the other political. Sources from the 'orange' party have indicated that this proposal, which would have to be supported by the militancy and is inspired by the European liberal parties, seeks to clearly separate functions and "protect" Arrimadas, his "greatest political asset" .
The organic direction would manage the day-to-day internally, while the political direction, led by Arrimadas, would be dedicated exclusively to speech and contact with the street. A bicephaly of power that, according to sources, would resemble that of the PNV, whose president is Andoni Ortuzar, but the Lehendakari and candidate for the Basque elections is Iñigo Urkullu.
This change of structure, they have continued, is done to "honor" the refoundation process. They assume that it will be a change of statutes and a "revolution", so that Arrimadas is "100%" dedicated to political discourse and touring Spain together with the visible heads of the party, such as Edmundo Bal, Begoña Villacís or Francisco Igea.
