Arrimadas' candidacy doubles in endorsements for Edmundo Bal's list

The candidacy of which the current president of Ciudadanos, Inés Arrimadas, is a part, has doubled the number of endorsements for the list of the Deputy Secretary General, Edmundo Bal, to stand in the primary elections of the political party before the VI General Assembly to be held will be held in January.

Specifically, the Renace tu Partido candidacy, headed by Cs MEP Adrián Vázquez and closed by Arrimadas, has achieved a total of 1,367 supports, while Ciudadanos de Nuevo, promoted by Bal and Madrid councilor Santiago Saura, has obtained 679 endorsements.

The list of La Base del Cambio, led by the affiliate of Cs Marcos Morales, has also entered the competition, having the support of 142 militants, but the candidacy A great liberal reform, by Pablo Biarge, has been left out (57 guarantees) of the primaries by not reaching the minimum number of supports.

Ciudadanos will hold primaries on January 9 and 10, days before the Extraordinary Assembly in the middle of the month, which will mean the culmination of the refoundation process launched after the debacle of the Andalusian elections to try to revive the party. On December 26, the period to present these candidacies was opened, which ended on Thursday the 29th.
