Arrested for stealing and assaulting an intellectually disabled person in the Franqueses del Vallès

The Mossos have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of a violent robbery of a man with intellectual disabilities in Les Franqueses del Vallès (Barcelona).

Arrested for stealing and assaulting an intellectually disabled person in the Franqueses del Vallès

The Mossos have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of a violent robbery of a man with intellectual disabilities in Les Franqueses del Vallès (Barcelona).

The agents located the victim, a man in his 60s with mental diversity who had serious facial injuries and possible fractures in the upper jaw and nose.

Given the seriousness of the injuries, it was difficult for the man to express himself, however, he managed to make the officers understand that his wallet, personal effects and even his dentures had been stolen.

The detainee, a 22-year-old man, was violent with the agents and expressed obvious contempt for the victim.

Several agents quickly began the search for the perpetrator, who had fled running along the train tracks in the direction of Canovelles, according to witnesses.

The young man was located minutes later on Carrer del Pont. In the search, the agents found the victim's personal effects. According to the police, during the transfer the offender tried to cause damage to the police vehicle by hitting the doors.

The man went to court at the Granollers Investigating Court on duty on August 12.
