Arrested for spending 19,000 euros on gasoline with the card of the company that fired him

The Civil Guard has arrested a resident of Lantejuela (Seville) for defrauding 18,884 euros by filling his car's tank with a bank card from his former company, from which he had been fired for the fraudulent use of another card. The Civil Guard became aware at the beginning of October after a complaint in the Los Alcores barracks in which it was alerted of a series of unauthorized movements in a bank account worth 18,884 euros.

The complainant had previously ensured that the movements had not been carried out by any of the company's employees or authorized persons. Furthermore, it so happened that the use of the card occurred when said vehicle was parked on company premises, the Armed Institute detailed in a press release.

Agents from the Los Alcores Civil Guard investigation area found out that all the fraudulent charges were made at the same service station, located in the town of Arahal. After analyzing the data by the agents and the security cameras, they managed to identify the alleged perpetrator. He hid his face with a cap while he refueled gas bottles and proceeded to pay inside the establishment.
