Agents attached to the Provincial Judicial Brigade of the Ceuta National Police have arrested an adult man accused of posing as a police officer to have sexual relations with minors knowing their age and trafficking in narcotic substances.
The individual, on whose identity no further details have been provided, will go to court accused of committing alleged crimes against the sexual freedom and indemnity of children and against public health.
As explained by the Superior Headquarters of the National Police of the autonomous city this Wednesday in a statement to the media, this arrest is the fifth that occurs within the framework of 'Operation Warsaw' which officials of the Family Care Unit and Women (UFAM) and the Provincial Citizen Security Brigade exploded last Friday.
Then there was the arrest of the first four accused of having sexual relations "repeatedly" with various minors at different points "knowing" that they were not 18 years old and offering them "money, clothes or gifts" in exchange for their "favors".
All those arrested have been released with charges after being placed at the disposal of the judicial authority, which has ordered removal measures with respect to the complainants.
In addition, two other adults, all of them residing in Ceuta, appear in the proceedings that are being conducted under summary secrecy as being investigated without having been arrested by the National Police.
The Superior Headquarters has warned that the investigations "are still open" and that "the practice of new arrests is not ruled out."
