Anti-corruption asks to charge Sánchez Arminio for the alleged diversion of 8 million

The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has supported the request of LaLiga and has requested the imputation of the former president of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) until 2018 Victoriano Sánchez Arminio for the alleged diversion of 8 million euros that the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) assigned to the referees.

Said investigation is framed in the operation of the 'Soule case', which pursues alleged irregularities committed during the management of Ángel María Villar at the head of the RFEF.

The movements in the Soule case occur in parallel to the investigation into the Negreira Case that is still ongoing at the Provincial Prosecutor's Office. A week ago, Cadena SER revealed that the Prosecutor's Office is investigating the payment of 1.7 million that the Blaugrana club allegedly made to Enríquez Negreira, vice president of the referees.

As a result of this case, LaLiga once again requested the judge instructing the Soule case to investigate a series of payments made by the RFEF to the son of the former vice president of referees José María Enríquez Negreira during the Villar stage. It is about 4,400 euros that the RFEF would have paid in various batches between 2011 and 2016 to Javier Enríquez.

The sources consulted point out that in its day La Liga already requested in the framework of the 'Soule case' that the RFEF clarify a series of payments that would be unjustified, but that once the so-called 'Negreira case' was known, it has insisted on clarifying this point. . Sánchez Arminio has disassociated himself from any irregularity committed by his then 'number two', but La Liga now moves to be charged in the Soule case and answer for the alleged deviation of the item dedicated to arbitration expenses.

The person in charge of the Central Court of Instruction Number 1, Alejandro Abascal, agreed last August to extend his investigations into 'Soule' while waiting to receive several pending reports. In the last ones sent by the General State Intervention (IGAE) the instructor was warned of the existence of irregularities of different kinds in the works and the construction of several soccer fields in Spain.
