Angela, the baby abandoned in Malaga, already has an emergency foster family

It took just under a week for baby Angela, who was abandoned last Saturday in the middle of a public street in Malaga, to be discharged from the Maternal and Child Hospital and integrated into an emergency foster family, as established by the judicial authority that was in charge of the case.

The girl was found by a citizen on Actriz La Tirana Street in Malaga and was immediately taken by the Police to the Maternal and Child Hospital. She still had the umbilical cord and was on the ground crying when she was found by an individual who was walking in the area.

National Police agents collected DNA evidence from some "properties" that accompanied the newborn to compare them with their database in an attempt to locate her parents, a search that was unsuccessful.

The Andalusian Government had proposed that the newborn be given to a family for adoption, accelerating all the necessary procedures to prevent, in this way, the girl from going to an emergency foster family and finding a permanent home. Ultimately, the Court declined this request.

Once the minor was discharged, she was given to a family temporarily until the adoption process continued.
