Ancelotti: "There are no invincible teams"

Carlo Ancelotti appeared in the Valdebebas press room in the preview of Real Madrid-Seville on Saturday morning at the Bernabeu with a speech to cut the euphoria that has settled in Real Madrid for the good progress of the season. "We don't feel invincible. There are no invincible teams nor have there ever been in history. Any team can beat you and we feel that way. We want to continue doing well," he said.

The coach is satisfied with what has been done, but more can always be demanded. "We must always be forceful. Sometimes we look too much in the mirror. We have to pursue more continuity. There are many things that can be improved on a collective level, but on an individual level we cannot improve anything. We have to thank their parents, who They have given players of great genetic quality".

Asked Ancelotti if things weren't going too well now for the height of the season we're in, he commented: "I'm not worried about how calm we are. Difficult moments will come. We have no doubt about this. I don't know when, but they will to be ready like last year, that we had two bad moments and we were smart".

The Real Madrid coach does not see the World Cup in Qatar as an enemy: "If it is an enemy, it is an enemy of all the teams. We all have to evaluate that and we cannot know now. We will evaluate when the World Cup is over. It is an individual issue of the players. Maybe some arrive very early and don't need so much rest. I think this part of the season helps: you will be able to see a World Cup with much more intensity because the players will reach their peak. In the previous ones they arrived at the World Cup exhausted. Now they will arrive with a lot of energy", commented.

Ancelotti explained that there will be few changes against Sevilla: "Courtois returns tomorrow. Everyone is fine, except Ceballos. If I make changes it will be to avoid future problems".

The coach had good words for Marco Asensio. "He's motivated, he wants to play and he only plays a few minutes, but he delivers and scores goals. He's one of the players who can play without a problem from the start". Then he commented that he is trying to convince Kroos to renew (the German's contract ends on June 30): "I have spoken with him and he is very calm. He will think about it after the World Cup, in January or February. I think he will to follow. His level is better than last year, he had physical problems at the beginning, but then he did very well. He's at a very high level".

Ancelotti expects a difficult match against Sevilla: "Each match has its history, its difficulty. Sevilla is trying to come out of a difficult period and they are doing it well: they show commitment and attitude. It will cost us, as always. There is no match that cost. They don't exist," he said.
