Ana Obregón registers her baby with a name that drives new rumors about paternity

There is no doubt: the news of Ana Obregón's maternity has been a bombshell and, probably, the most talked about news this week in Spain. The actress has opened a wide debate about surrogate pregnancy and also about the age limit to be a mother, and little by little more details are becoming known about this new member of the presenter's family. The name of the little girl is already known, but as Informalia advances, so are the surnames.

One day before the cover of ¡Hola! was published, which has generated such an immense uproar in public opinion in Spain, Semana announced that the baby gestated through a surrogate in Miami is called Ana, like her mother. Susana Uribarri, a close friend of Obregón, confirmed the information this Friday, in an interview with Sonsoles Ónega on Antena 3. "I call her my princess Anita," she said.

Now Informalia goes a step further and reveals the surnames of the little girl, who is expected to soon fly to Spain with her proud mother. According to the outlet, the name of the one who has brought joy back to the biologist is recorded as Ana Lequio Obregón. Ana Lequio is a compound name (Lequio appears as the middle name) and Obregón appears as the first surname, according to the exclusive report.

Ana Obregón's first surname is García, her father's, but the actress wanted to register her daughter with her mother's, with which she is known, nothing more and nothing less than the famous surname 'Obregón'. It may sound strange, but the explanation is that in the United States it can be done like this. The gestation process has been carried out by Ana Obregón alone, therefore, it seems logical that she should carry one of her last names.

Regarding the 'Lequio' that the little girl bears in her name, sources close to the biologist told the media that "each one draws their own conclusions." Therefore, it could be one more gesture in tribute to her son, Aless Lequio, who died in 2020 due to cancer, or it could have to do with the speculation that is being launched these days. It should be remembered that Carmen Lomana, in a televised conversation with Susanna Griso on Espejo Público, went so far as to say that Obregón "is going to be a grandmother because the pregnant woman has been inseminated with her son's semen." Information that has not been confirmed, but that has gained a lot of weight in the last few hours.

In the absence of Ana Obregón explaining, if she wishes, the details that would have led her to give the little girl this name, the actress makes it clear, once again, that everything that surrounds this birth has to do with her son Aless, who died at the age of 27 due to Ewing's sarcoma. For Ana, the young man was the reason for her existence, and after her death, she assured that what kept her going was to continue with the legacy of her son.

Aless had three wishes: create a foundation that would raise money for research, write a book, and have a child. Ana inaugurated the foundation on February 3rd. The book started by Aless, has recently been completed by the actress, and will be published on April 19 under the title El niño de las musarañas. We don't know if Ana has succeeded in being a father, or if, on the contrary, it is just speculation. Perhaps that is the reason why little Ana is in the world: to fulfill Aless's wishes.
