A woman and her grandson have been injured this Monday afternoon, May 22, at the intersection of Francesc Macià and Viladordis streets in Manresa after being hit by a bus, according to what the Fire Department has explained. The emergency department, which has sent five teams to the property, received a notice shortly before six in the afternoon.
The minor has been seriously injured when he was trapped with his leg under the wheel of the bus. Firefighters had to lift it to rescue the minor. The woman has been transferred to Athaia by ambulance, while the minor has been transferred by helicopter to another hospital.
The City Council has regretted the accident and has explained that the Local Police has opened an investigation to clarify the facts. In addition, it has indicated that alcohol and drug tests have been carried out on the bus driver with negative results.
