Fernando Alonso broke out against his teammate, Esteban Ocon, in the Sprint Race of the Brazilian GP. The Spaniard touched at the start, upon reaching the fourth corner, with his neighbor's Alpine, which forced him to go outside and broke his front wing. "I have lost the front wing thanks to our friend," the Spaniard commented ironically on the radio.
Fernando Alonso started seventh and Ocon sixth, but when they reached the third corner they matched up, with the Frenchman on the inside, with a good line. The Asturian tried the epic overtaking on the outside at turn 4, but went to the shoulder and when trying to enter he touched Ocon, who had gained the position.
As a result of the touch, the front wing of the Spaniard's car broke and he had to go through the garage to replace it, so he fell to last position.
The Spaniard complained bitterly over the radio to his team: "He pushed me into turn 4 and finally into the straight. Well done!" the Spaniard ironically lamented on his way to the garages.
