Starting today, the main scenic and musical facilities in Barcelona are launching a joint action aimed at audiences between 18 and 35 years old, inviting them to see shows that will take place between October 21 and November 1, all of them for 10 euros (20 in the case of the Liceu) and each one with an aftershow bet. The initiative with which culture is allied with the night party and the social encounter between young people has been baptized as Vibe35 and the reservation and ticket purchase process is now available at vibe35.cat. Some 10,000 people will have access to the seven scheduled shows.

Liceu, Palau de la Música Catalana, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Mercat de les Flors, Teatre Lliure and L'Auditori have agreed to launch, as public facilities, a joint project to create new audiences and promote educational initiatives and social. "There are illuminating actions and dazzling actions. This wants to be a flash to make visible a task that we have all been doing for years," says Valentí Oviedo.

This program begins on October 21 with Bate Fado, a José Caldeira dance show at the Mercat de les Flors which, in collaboration with Primavera Sound, will be followed by a performance by DJ Unai Muguruza in the hall of the same Montjuïc venue .

Thus, each venue opts for one of its shows, except for the Palau de la Música, which opts for two: the projection of live music from Metrópolis (on the 31st) with a performance by magali Datzira, proposed by the Cruïlla festival, and the following day a Extra performance of Don Giovanni de Òpera a Catalunya, which will be followed by an aftershow with Clara Andrés.

The Liceu includes in this initiative the Under 35 performance of Il trovatore, which was already planned for the 26th, and the performance after this Verdi opera with a montage by Àlex Ollé, from La Fura dels Baus, will be performed by an artist proposed by the Sónar, with the food stands with which the Gran Teatre has become accustomed to its public under 35 years of age who access these functions with a single price of 20 euros.

In Teatre Lliure, the initiative concerns Sun

For its part, the TNC collaborates with Razzmatazz to combine a performance by Assaig on blindness (27th) with a performance by Kyne Dj Krea in the afterwhow. And L'Auditori, in the same Plaça de les Arts, will team up with Primavera Sound on the 29th to offer an after party with Lanav after a performance by Pol Batlle and Rita Payès Marina Herlop.

Is it perhaps a way of adding various equipment to the Liceu Under35 formula? "No, it's not joining the Liceu bandwagon. Of course his is a successful initiative, but if we talk about L'Auditori, for example, it has 600 flat-rate subscribers, a very considerable number of young people," says Robert Brufau, director of the room.

"We all have actions. And Vibe35 is a way of working together for a type of audience that we can all question together with greater effectiveness than if we do it individually. Then each facility already has its ways of making these audiences continue to be linked to his house. Because we are six facilities with powerful educational departments. And being the spearhead of investment in culture in this country, it is important to join efforts to push this project forward", added Brufau.

The Palau de la Música will be the facility that is responsible for managing the economic part of this adventure, a showcase for the respective educational projects that from now on also want to work in a coordinated manner. Thus, the six rooms have managed to get the Ministry of Culture to endow these programs with 500,000 euros, which in fact are added to the allocations that each facility makes from its budgets, with contributions from the Generalitat, the City Council and the Provincial Council.

"We went to the Ministry of Culture of the Generalitat to promote an amendment to the general budgets of the State, so that we managed to have an item of half a million euros to support these projects", explains Joan Oller, general director of the Palau de Catalan music. From the Palau, for example, 50,000 boys and girls benefit annually from school concerts, and 15,000 from their families.
