Alejandra Rubio: “I am an actress, that is what I want to focus my future on”

Alejandra Rubio does not even want to hear about certain names that are currently generating controversy for her family. She speaks to us with great affection about her grandmother, the recently deceased María Teresa Campos. She acknowledges that thanks to her family's exposure she now has a seat on television, but she wants to make it clear that, even though the programs now take up part of her day, she is focused on her acting studies in Juan's studio. Codina.

This time he tells us about an initiative by the Jean Louis David hair salon chain that supports breast cancer research. To raise funds, they have put on sale a solidarity scrunchie that will be on sale in the firm's salons. Rubio did not hesitate for a second to participate in this campaign because she herself experienced the fight against breast cancer at home, since her mother, Terelu Campos, overcame this disease twice.

Your mother overcame two breast cancers, how did you deal with them?

I found out about the first cancer but my mother did not make me participate in her suffering. I was 12 or 13 years old at the time. In the second he was much older and more aware of what the disease was. I dealt with it by supporting her and being by her side.

Although cancer is not hereditary, there are hereditary factors that increase the risk of its appearance. Do you take precautions in this regard?

Of course I take precautions. I take the tests that I have to do because of my age. It's something we have to be aware of. You have to go to the doctor and go for check-ups.

In just a few years you have become a regular face on television shows. Was that clear to you since you were little?

I've never been clear about it. What I am clear about is my profession, which is to be an actress. I'm finishing my degree. It's what I want to focus my future on. But for now I am very comfortable working on television, it was a decision I made a few years ago.

What are the next steps for you in television? Would you like to present a program?

I hope to work as an actress soon. Regarding presenting a program, you always have to have goals in life, but I haven't thought about it. If they offered it to me, of course I would say yes.

You started at a very young age on television, what were your beginnings like? Was it easy for you?

They were not easy, television is a very complicated medium. I had no experience and at first it was hard. It's one thing to see it at home and another thing to experience it in first person.

Have you felt like a nepo baby in the middle or do you think that your merits have also helped you?

It's obvious that I'm on television because my family is well-known, that's something we all see. But I have been working hard to keep going and to keep calling me. In the end, if you're not worth it, they won't call you. You have to work at it and I'm doing it.

Obviously, your grandmother is a great reference for television in Spain. Do you feel like the heir to the saga?

No, my grandmother is unique and I don't think any of us can reach her height. It is true that I am the only one of the third generation who now works in television, but what they say about an heir or successor... I don't know. My grandmother is very great and she is irreplaceable.

What do you say to all those who criticize you, your mother and your aunt for not mourning silently? Do you think her grandmother would have liked them to grieve locked up at home?

Everyone has their opinion, let them think what they want. And each person mourns as best they can.

Do you feel comfortable with Gustavo Guillermo, your grandmother's former employee, participating in Big Brother Vip?

Everyone to do what they want with their life.
