Albert Rivera returns to the scene to write opinion columns

The former leader of Ciudadanos, Albert Rivera, will write opinion articles in the digital The Objective starting this week. The media outlet announced this Friday the signing of Rivera as a columnist, where he "will address various important issues" with a monthly text, as explained by the newspaper. Rivera will be released next Sunday.

The former deputy currently directs the RV consultancy, with which he advises companies and investors, alongside the former Secretary General of Ciudadanos José Manuel Villegas. Rivera is also the head of the Cardenal Cisneros University Institute of Leadership in Madrid.

The announcement of the former leader of Cs to influence the public debate comes after his appearance last Wednesday at an event at the Club Siglo XXI. Rivera denounced "the abandonment of the reformist agenda" by the PSOE and the PP, whom he accused of not undertaking pending reforms such as pensions due to their high electoral cost, and refused to change the Code "to measure and with surnames". Penal.

Presented by the deputy mayor of Madrid, Begoña Villacís, who is coordinating the refounding of the party, the former leader broke into the uncertain process of renewal of Ciudadanos. Members of the old dissident guard-Juan Carlos Girauta, José Manuel Villegas and Marcos de Quinto- attended the audience and were also representatives Miguel Gutiérrez and Guillermo Díaz.

Rivera has not been lavished since his resignation, but last October he was seen at the presentation of a book by former minister José Manuel García-Margallo, where he coincided with the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
