The chef Albert Adrià has revealed that before the pandemic he planned to retire from the kitchen but that precisely the Covid has "forced him to return to the front line".

In an interview with the Spanish edition of Forbes, he explains: "I was planning to transfer the restaurants to the chefs and directors, and I would keep a small part and start retiring."

"During the pandemic I realized that the life I was leading was toxic, both mentally and health-wise, and that I had abandoned my family," he explained.

At 52 years old and after the pandemic, in June he reopened his Barcelona restaurant 'Enigma Concept', with a new creative approach and 40 employees, 7 of them he trusts the most (he calls them 'Los Lobos' and considers them an extension of his family).

It is the only restaurant he runs in Spain, while in London he maintains 'Cakes

Adrià stars on the September cover of Forbes, dedicated to the 100 most creative Spaniards in business with the 'Most Creative People in Business 2022' list.
