Actor Tony Dow, older brother Wally Cleaver, dies

Tony Dow, the actor who played Wally Cleaver in the American television series Leave it to Beaver, from the 1950s, has died at the age of 77 at his California residence.

His son, Christopher Dow, has confirmed the sad news to the specialized media: "He was the best father one could have. He was my coach, my mentor, my voice of reason, my best friend, my best man at the wedding and my hero "

The interpreter's representatives also lamented the news in networks shortly after and many fans took the opportunity to offer their condolences to the family and remember some of the actor's performances.

The Leave it to Beaver series narrated the life of a typical middle-class family and was successful inside and outside the United States.

The news has reminded fans of fiction that almost twelve years ago, in October 2010, Barbara Billingsley, the star of the series, passed away.
