A woman goes to jail for throwing people with reduced mobility to the ground and robbing them in Alzira

Agents of the National Police have arrested a 45-year-old woman in Alzira (Valencia) as the alleged perpetrator of three violent robberies after apparently stealing the belongings of three people aged 56, 73 and 83 and injuring two of them, elderly and with reduced mobility. The judicial authority has decreed her admission to prison.

The events occurred between April 10 and 17, when the suspect assaulted her victims on public roads and took their bags and wallets. Two of them also have reduced mobility and used to get around a walker and a cart adapted for people with functional diversity, respectively, as reported by the National Police in a statement.

The last robbery with violence perpetrated by the now detainee occurred on April 17, when a woman was walking with her walker on public roads and, suddenly, the author pushed her and threw her to the ground, stealing her bag with 115 euros . The victim, as a result of her fall, suffered a sprained wrist and ankle, bruises and abrasions.

Following this, the author fled in her vehicle and, thanks to the cooperation of several witnesses, the agents were able to find out the license plate number and its characteristics. After several raids in the area, they have finally located the tourist with the suspect inside and the wallet she had stolen. For all these reasons, she has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with violence.

The woman is accused of two more robberies committed in Alzira on April 10 and 11. The first of them would have been perpetrated when a woman was coming out of an oven. Apparently, she allegedly pushed her and took the wallet that she was carrying in her car for people with functional diversity, seizing 340 euros, documentation and bank cards that were later used by the detainee at a gas station to refuel her vehicle.

The second criminal act took place just one day later. A couple were walking down the street when, without saying a word, the woman approached them from behind and, apparently, gave the man a strong push, who fell to the ground.

Next, he would have yanked the bag that the woman was carrying, with 90 euros, a mobile phone, documentation and cards. The man was treated by health personnel and transferred to a hospital since as a result of the attack he fractured his hip and had to undergo surgery.

The arrested woman, with a police record, has gone to court, and her entry into prison has been decreed.
