The ruling, to which EFE has had access, is "new because it also focuses on the parent" and "evidence greater awareness" of bullying, the lawyer in charge of the case, Noelia Lidunia, stated in an interview with EFE.
According to the ruling, issued by the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 5 of Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona), the parents noticed since the end of June 2015, at the end of the last course of early childhood education, a sudden change in behavior of his son.
The boy stated that he did not want to read because other classmates bothered him and made fun of him, something that at the time would not have been given much importance, but since the situation persisted, they decided to start psychological monitoring.
The family commented on the situation to the center's management and the tutor, who - they acknowledge - undertook to apply the relevant corrective measures.
However, the parents allege, according to the ruling, "not having received information about the specific measures that were being taken" and that the harassment situation continued until the end of the 2016-17 academic year, when the child was in his second year of school. primary.
In this regard, the lawyer has indicated that the school, "by not acting immediately, normalized the violence until 2017" and that the sentence "sends the message that if the protocols are not applied immediately and correctly, they are of no use to nothing".
According to the ruling, the family also alleges that "the classmates picked on the child, called him Chupacabra and that they hit him in the yard" and "even, on one occasion, they split his lip," which was put into practice. knowledge of the center.
