A report by the director of TV3 confirms the inappropriate behavior of Dalmases

A report signed by the director of TV3, Sigfrid Gras, and sent to the Parliamentary committee studying the case, ratifies the inappropriate behavior of deputy Francesc Dalmases at the end of the broadcast of an interview with Laura Borràs on July 9. In this interview, the journalists questioned the deputy on several occasions since yesterday suspended about the case of the contracts that have led her to sit before the judge.

According to the report, based on the facts reported by the producer that carries out the FAQS program, at the end of the interview, the deputy director and the producer of the program go to speak with Borràs, who expresses his discomfort with the tone of the interview. Borràs goes so far as to say, according to this report, that the interviewer has given him “a trial trial”.

After this comment, according to the report, Francesc Dalmases, who was accompanying Borràs, took the deputy director by the arm and, closing the door, left behind the rest of the people attending the scene. Then, always according to the report, he starts shouting "how have you betrayed me", "you have broken your word", "shitty program", "you cannot do this", "pathetic presenter", "bad journalist" all of it combined with knocking on the door.

The forms of Dalmases lead Borràs to ask the Junts deputy to calm down.

The producer and the Borràs team had agreed on the conditions of this interview, among which was that of not broadcasting on the program's video wall the reproduction of the emails in which Borràs explained to Isaías Herrero, his collaborator, how he should split the contracts.

In addition, the Borras team also asked that the cast of invited journalists be changed and that they not be able to cross-examine. The report indicates that the first condition was not accepted, but the second was, although, it points out, that is the format usually used. During the program, one of the journalists asked more questions.

They also agreed that the journalist who acts as rapporteur would speak first with Borràs's lawyer, Gonzalo Boye. That condition was also met. The report includes the version of Dalmases, who denies that he took the producer by the arm, although he does indicate that they begin to argue. He also points out that there were no insults or threats, but he is "outraged" and the conversation is very vehement."

In this story, the JxCat deputy indicates that he did not hit "any furniture" but that he made noise by picking up his mobile with a quick movement causing noise.

The report was presented during the control commission of the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation, where the president of the Council, Rosa Romà, and the director of TV3, Sigfrid Gras, appeared. Romà has condemned what happened and has indicated that the protocols will be reviewed, including the regulation of the people who accompany the guests. The director of TV3 has also considered that certain limits were crossed.
