National Police agents have arrested a well-known 'drug chef' in the dismantling of two clandestine laboratories for the transformation and completion of cocaine hydrochloride located in the southern area of ​​Madrid.

Eight people have been arrested in the operation - all of them have been imprisoned - and more than 150 kilograms of precursors and 20 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride have been seized, as well as laboratory material and four firearms, the Corps collects. it's a statement.

The investigation began last February when the agents learned of the existence of a criminal organization allegedly dedicated to drug trafficking. After having located them in the south of the region, they verified that it had extensive logistics and a clear distribution of tasks and hierarchy to carry out the activity.

The agents were able to verify that the investigated organization imported base cocaine from Colombia by sea or air to, once in Spain, be transferred to two clandestine laboratories where it was subjected to various chemical processes until finally obtaining cocaine hydrochloride ready for use. distribution and consumption.

Subsequently, the drug was transferred, on demand, to different parts of the Spanish geography through heated vehicles with hidden compartments.

After months of investigation, coordinated by the Investigating Court number 5 of Móstoles, it was possible to locate one of the laboratories in a chalet in the town of Villanueva de la Cañada.

As a result of police efforts, the agents located the other chalet used as a logistics center for the organization, this time in the town of El Álamo. There resided the "cooks or chemists" as well as the people in charge of transporting and distributing the drug.

Finally, and after detecting that the two "cooks" had moved to one of the laboratories and all the necessary instruments were being prepared, the agents proceeded to exploit the operation.

A total of four searches were carried out, managing to dismantle the two clandestine laboratories and intervening more than 150 kilos of precursors, 20 kilos of cocaine, various laboratory material --hydraulic presses, scales, electronic stoves, two die stamps-- a vehicle and four firearms, two of them simulated.

One of the two "cooks" arrested in the operation is an internationally recognized "drug chef" and had a European Arrest and Surrender Warrant (OEDE) issued by the Italian authorities for his criminal participation in a scheme for the introduction and transformation of cocaine from South America in the transalpine country.
