A mayor of the PP of Guadalajara leaves politics after being recorded singing the "Face to the Sun"

The councilor of the PP of Cabanillas del Campo (Guadalajara) and former mayor of the town, Jaime Celada, who on December 31 was recorded singing the "Face to the Sun", has announced in a letter on his social networks that he is leaving political life , since he renounces his councilor's act, all the positions he holds in the PP and resigns as a member.

In the letter he explains that after 16 years he says goodbye to "political life and activity" and takes stock by thanking the neighbors for the trust placed in him as a councilor and as the first and only mayor of the PP in the municipality.

Likewise, he thanks the councilors who have worked with him in Cabanillas, the members and sympathizers of the PP and his fellow party members for their support, "especially the president, Lucas Castillo, who has shown me this past month that, in addition to a great president, he is a great person and a good friend”.

"Although I abide by and respect any position, to say that it saddens me to see how the regional PP, in difficult moments, remains immobile and does not show the slightest support for its people. This is one of the most important reasons why I am giving this today pass," he argues.

Celada adds that, "in certain situations, you realize that, even if it seems like it, there is nothing 'weighty' behind it and it is better to step aside knowing that time will put everything and also each person in the place they deserves".

One last thank you goes to his family "for their unconditional support" and for being the ones who "have suffered the most and are paying the highest price for this adventure, my time, which I am now looking forward to repaying them multiplied."

He concludes the letter asking for "apologies" for his "mistakes" but showing himself "proud" of his achievements and "with the satisfaction of the duty fulfilled by someone who has always understood politics as a public service."

The video of Celada singing "Face to the Sun", with his right arm raised, in a restaurant in Guadalajara, generated controversy and led the PP to open a file on him.
