A man who abused a minor in Alicante avoids jail if he does not commit a crime again in two years

He lived in the same house with the girl's family and took the opportunity to sexually abuse the minor. The events began the day the eleven-year-old girl received First Communion and lasted for more than two months. In a hearing without holding a trial for agreement between the parties, the Third Section of the Provincial Court of Alicante has sentenced the author, a 51-year-old Ecuadorian man, to two years in prison.

The now convicted man lived in the same house as the victim with his brother, the same age as the minor, and his mother. As the sentence considers proven, the defendant, pretending to play with her dolls or tag, "with a libidinous spirit" subjected her to touching her, kissing her or hugging her.

In addition to two years in prison, the court has imposed a ban on communication with the minor by any means and on approaching at a distance of less than 300 meters for three years; probation and disqualification from practicing any profession that involves contact with minors for the same time. And compensation of a thousand euros.

The agreement between the parties grants the author the benefit of suspension of the execution of the prison sentence on the condition that he does not commit a crime again within two years, as stated in the sentence, provided by the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community.
