The Magistrate of the Investigating Court number 2 of Castellón, who is handling the case for the death of 10 donkeys in the Desert de Les Palmes in Castellón, has summoned the farmer as an investigated person for the month of May, in accordance with the criteria of the Prosecutor's Office, as reported by the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV).
It is the second investigated for these events, for which the former director of the natural park has already declared with the same condition.
These events led to the resignation of the General Director of the Natural Environment, Benjamín Pérez, as well as that of the head of the Natural Environment area of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition.
The Generalitat Valenciana opened an information file to clarify the death of the ten donkeys that were part of a group of 50 animals introduced into the Desert de les Palmes natural park to prevent fires.
